This is one of the best known verses about Joseph, and it is my plea for such men and women on our generation (Genesis 41:38),
So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?”
One of the things I liked when re-reading this story was seeing Joseph move beyond a simple interpretation of the dreams, wisdom is pouring forth from him aiding Pharaoh to save a multitude of people. Joseph had worked on a small scale in Potiphar’s house and then in prison, now the real challenge for him and his anointing, taking charge of a country.
Years before the Lord had revealed this plan to Joseph yet he had been unable to contain his pride and it had led to his alienation from his brothers and being sold into slavery. How did Joseph feel as Pharaoh suddenly promoted him to the position the Lord had prophetically promised him?
